Proposal Manager Definition
The proposal manager will co-ordinate the end-to-end proposal campaign. Responsibilities typically include the introduction and enforcement of all necessary proposal procedures and processes. This is a highly networked role that requires an ability to work under pressure and to demanding deadlines.
The proposal manager will have experience in the compilation and production of proposals within a complex bid / proposal environment. They will have experience in the co-ordination of large bid teams and bid activities in line with customer timelines. The Proposal Manager will be experienced in all elements of proposal management: scheduling and facilitating proposal kick-off meetings; review meetings; co-ordinating document governance/sign off; final print and submission of the completed document; and ensuring that all procedures are followed throughout the bidding process. Ordinarily, they will have experience of coordinating and updating a content management system.
Qualifications
Typically degree educated and accredited to APMP Foundation / Practitioner Level.
Minimum 2-3 years experience in proposal/bid environment.
Key Skills / Competences
Advanced MS Word skills & proficient in MS Office
SANT / Pragmatech / Qvidian Proposal Software (or similar) experience
Template management in line with company branding
Time Management / prioritisation skills
Strong writing skills
Ability to communicate at a senior level
Ability to coach sales teams in persuasive writing and Proposal best practice
